The role of DESIGN ENGINEERS in collaboration with ASCOT ALUMINIUM goes beyond mere assistance—it encompasses a comprehensive engagement aimed at providing a PS1 package for the aluminum joinery system and its associated brackets, intricately integrated into the building's primary structure. The focus lies on developing a glazed joinery system that not only withstands wind loading but also accommodates seismic movements, achieved through the meticulous SED design that guards against interstorey drift.
Throughout this project, the utilization of APL flush glazed suite and residential suite signifies a commitment to high-quality, contemporary joinery solutions. DESIGN ENGINEERS were specifically commissioned to conduct a thorough wind loading assessment on the building facade, ensuring its resilience and adherence to stringent safety standards. The expertise extends to assisting in the selection of appropriate joinery systems and bracket methods, considering both constructability and engineering adequacy.
In addition to these crucial responsibilities, DESIGN ENGINEERS play a pivotal role in the selection and verification of window perimeter fixings, ensuring that every element aligns with the structural requirements of the project. A meticulous review of shop drawings and test reports against the Building Code and industry best practices is undertaken to guarantee compliance and the highest quality standards.
The collaborative nature of this project is underscored by DESIGN ENGINEERS working in tandem with other consultants. This collaborative effort aims to achieve the optimal facade performance, leveraging the collective expertise of all involved parties to surpass industry benchmarks and uphold high-performance standards. The result is a seamlessly integrated aluminum joinery system that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of safety, functionality, and aesthetic excellence.
